how do I create a new countdown?

tap the blue "+" button at the bottom right of the main screen. enter an event name, pick a date and time, choose a color from the palette, and tap "Save." your countdown will appear instantly on the list.

how do I edit or delete a countdown?

tap on any countdown card to open its detail view. tap the "Edit" button in the top right to change the event name, date, time, color, or emoji icon. to delete a countdown, open it and tap the "•••" menu, then select Delete.

how do I change the emoji icon for a countdown?

when creating or editing a countdown, tap the emoji icon next to the event name field. this opens the full emoji picker — choose any emoji to represent your event.

how do I sort my countdowns?

tap the "Sort" button at the top right of the main screen. you can sort by date (soonest first), date (farthest first), or by name.

how do I share a countdown?

open the countdown detail view and tap the share icon (box with arrow) in the top navigation. this lets you share the countdown as an image or text with anyone.

how do I access the calendar view?

tap the calendar icon at the top right of the main screen (next to the Sort button). the calendar shows all your events marked with blue dots. tap any date to see which countdowns fall on that day.

how do I add a Countdown widget to my home screen?

Countdown offers home screen widgets in small and large sizes (pro feature). to add one:

you can also tap the widget to edit it and select a specific countdown to display.

how do I add a widget to my lock screen?

lock screen widgets are available on iOS 16 and later (pro feature). long-press on your lock screen, tap "Customize," then tap the lock screen area below the clock. tap the "+" to add a Countdown widget — choose from small circular or rectangular styles that show days remaining for your chosen event.

my widget isn't updating — what should I do?

• force-close the app and reopen it to trigger a widget refresh
• remove the widget and re-add it to your home or lock screen
• restart your device
• make sure you have the latest version of Countdown installed

what is the subscription price?

how do I cancel my subscription?

you must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. you'll keep pro access until the end of your current billing period.

how do I restore my purchases?

go to the Settings tab in the app and tap "Restore Purchases." make sure you're signed in to the same App Store / Google Play account used for the original purchase.

can I get a refund?

refund requests must be made through your device's app store:

• iOS: visit reportaproblem.apple.com
• android: contact Google Play customer support

Countdown does not control app store refund decisions. we are unable to issue refunds directly.

the app crashed or isn't loading — what do I do?

• force-close the app and reopen it
• restart your device
• check for app updates in the App Store or Google Play
• uninstall and reinstall the app (note: local countdown data may be reset)

my countdown shows the wrong number of days — what happened?

countdown timers rely on your device's clock and time zone settings. if a countdown appears off, check that your device's date, time, and time zone are correctly set in your device Settings. if you recently traveled to a different time zone, the app will update automatically once your device syncs.

my countdown data disappeared — what happened?

countdown data is stored locally on your device. if you reinstalled the app or reset your device without a backup, local data may have been lost. make sure you are signed in to iCloud or Google account backups to help restore app data in future. if you believe data was lost due to a technical error, contact our support team.
