Countdown - terms of use

important: by downloading, installing, or using the Countdown mobile application, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. please read them carefully.

1. app overview

Countdown is a mobile application that lets you create and track beautiful event countdowns. You can add events with custom names, dates, emoji icons, and colors, and track exactly how much time remains down to the second. The app includes home screen and lock screen widgets, a calendar view, and the ability to share countdowns. Countdown offers both free and premium subscription tiers.

2. subscription services

2.1 available subscriptions

Countdown Pro offers the following auto-renewable subscription option:

yearly subscription: $1.99 per year

note: prices may vary by location and are subject to change. current pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

2.2 subscription features

Countdown Pro includes:

unlimited countdowns
home screen widgets
lock screen widgets
calendar view
share countdowns with friends
ad-free experience
early access to new features
priority customer support

2.3 auto-renewal terms

important subscription information:

subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
yearly subscriptions renew every 365 days
you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's account settings after purchase

3. payment and billing

3.1 payment processing

all subscription payments are processed through your device's app store (apple app store or google play store). payment will be charged to your app store account upon confirmation of purchase.

3.2 price changes

we reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. price changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal, and you will be notified of any price changes in advance.

4. cancellation policy

4.1 how to cancel

for iOS users:

open the settings app on your iphone or ipad
tap your name at the top
tap "subscriptions"
find Countdown and tap it
tap "cancel subscription"

for android users:

open the google play store app
tap menu → subscriptions
find Countdown and tap it
tap "cancel subscription"

4.2 cancellation terms

you can cancel your subscription at any time
cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
you will continue to have access to pro features until the end of the paid period
no refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
you must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period

5. refund policy

all sales are final. refund requests must be made directly through your device's app store:

iOS: submit refund requests through apple's report a problem website at reportaproblem.apple.com
android: request refunds through google play store customer service

Countdown does not control app store refund policies and cannot guarantee refund approval.

6. free trial (if applicable)

if a free trial is offered, you will be charged the full subscription price when the trial period ends unless you cancel before the trial expires. free trials are limited to one per user.

7. user responsibilities

use the app responsibly and as intended for tracking event countdowns
maintain the security of your account preferences and data
use the app in accordance with these terms
not share your pro account access with others
not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
not attempt to manipulate countdown data through unauthorized means
respect intellectual property rights of all app content and design

8. content usage and restrictions

important notice:

all app artwork, animations, UI design, and visual content in Countdown are protected by copyright
content is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only
you may not extract, copy, redistribute, or reuse visual assets from the app
your personal countdown data belongs to you

9. age requirements

Countdown is suitable for all ages. users under 18 should obtain parental consent before subscribing to Countdown Pro. users under 13 should use the app only with parental supervision.

10. data and privacy

your privacy is important to us. please review our privacy policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information, including countdown data and app preferences.

11. termination

we reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Countdown at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these terms or any other reason.

12. updates to terms

we may update these terms of use from time to time. changes will be effective when posted in the app or on this page. continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. limitation of liability

Countdown and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

data loss or technical issues
lost countdown or event data due to technical failures
inaccurate time calculations resulting from device clock issues

14. disclaimer of warranties

Countdown is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. we do not guarantee:

uninterrupted or error-free operation
accuracy of countdown timers in all circumstances
compatibility with all devices or operating systems
permanent availability of any specific features

15. technical support

we provide technical support for app functionality and subscription management. contact us at mallik.puranjan@gmail.com and we'll respond within 1–2 business days.

16. governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the united states. any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts.

17. entire agreement

these terms of use, together with our privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Countdown regarding use of the app.
